Abstract
FOLLOWING THE ENFORCEMENT OF
the Fruit Products Order of the
Government of India in 1948, 375
samples of fruit and vegetable
products were received for examination
and report at the former
Indian Institute of Fruit Technology,
Delhi, during the period June
1948-January 1950. The results of
microbiological examination of the
samples are reported here with a
view to appraise the industry of
the types of spoilage usually encountered
and to suggest measures
for preventing spoilage.
