Abstract
The impregnation of jute bags with lindane emulsions has been discussed with reference to the affinity of lindane to the jute fabric and the temperature used in drying impregnated bags. The adverse effects can be minimized by incorporating agar-agar in the emulsions. Washing and drying do not reduce the lindane content of the impregnated fabric.
