Abstract
A new polyisoprenylated phenolic pigment, garcinol, and its colourless
isomer, isogarcinol, have been isolated from Garcinia indica and their
structures proposed on the basis of chemical and spectral data. A modification
is suggested for the recently proposed structure of camboginol.
