Abstract
IN recent years, the seedless Kishmish grapes,
which have been introduced in the Palni Hills
in South India, have proved a big success.
Since grapes are highly perishable, the profitable
disposal of the crop in these areas has
now become a pressing problem. Further,
although the seedless white Kishmish grapes
find a good market on account of their superior
aality, the seeded grapes, which are generally
acidic in taste, are difficult to dispose of in the
fresh fruit market. It was, therefore, of
interest to investigate methods of storage and
utilization of these grapes.
