Abstract
The growth of weanling rats is not adversely affected by the presence of insecticidal clay
(activated kaol1nic clay) at 0·1 or 1 per cent level, and of raw clay at 1 per cent level in their diets.
The presence of insecticidal clay at 1 per cent level in the diet has no adverse effect on the
growth and digestibility of protein, fat, calcium and phosphorus in young rats. In adult rats, the
digestibility of protein and fat is not significantly affected by the inclusion of insecticidal clay
even at 5 per cent level in the diet.
