Abstract
The following quality control tests for glass food containers are briefly described and their significance discussed: non-destructive tests - ovality, verticality, dimensional accuracy, capacity, strain (polariscopic examination) and lubricity; destructive tests - internal pressure resistance, vertical compression strength, thermal shock, impact strength, hardness, thickness and chemical resistance.
