Abstract
Laboratory investigations in India showed that the water solubility of gamma -BHC rose from 12 p.p.m. at 26.5 deg C to 45 p.p.m. at 60 deg C and that of dieldrin rose from 0.1 p.p.m. at 25 deg C to 2.5 p.p.m. at 70 deg C. These results are discussed in connection with the extraction of pesticide residues from stored grain and other food materials.
