Abstract
The relation between various factors responsible for deterioration of stored sorghum grain and analytical criteria of deterioration was examined. Samples collected from farms, warehouses and markets, stored for 2-14 months, were analysed for moisture, insects, kernel damage, frass, free fatty acids, uric acid (total, apparent and true), viability, and fungi. Frequency distribution for these parameters, ranges of values and correlation coeff. between associated factors are tabulated. A highly significant correlation was found between moisture and free fatty acids (r =
