Additional Information:	An attempt has been made to study the lipid production in 4 different strains using 2 types of substrates through solid state fermentation. Despite the great efforts, no very promising plant or animal sources has yet been discovered and all of the proposed plants or animal sources are very specific with low availability. On the contrary, there may be a potential possibility for the industrial production of linolenic, linoleic and palmitic acid using microbiological process by culturing the above mentioned microorganism containing lipids, rich in the content of linolenic, linoleic and palmitic acid in the microbial bodies. This is because the culture of microorganisms requires no solar energy and can be performed as a factory process so that the process is free from the restrictions imposed by the availability of a large area of plant site and gives a high and stable productivity and enjoys free controllability of the production rate, can be carried out in a small span of time and can be cultured using cheap substrate.
