Additional Information:	Using standard serial dilution method 18 Bacillus species were isolated from different food commodities and soil samples. Among the 18 isolates, only two isolates were identified as Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus circulans. Studies carried out on anti-microbial (Bactericidal & Fungicidal activity) revealed that Micrococcus luteus is more sensitive for all isolates. With regard to anti-fungal activity, Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus circulans isolated from Red gram and Black sesame respectively, have shown strong inhibition followed by Wheat, S1, S10 and S11. However, the standard fungicide Carbendazime (CBZ) has inhibited all the fungi tested.
