| Additional Information: | The amount of wastes generated from different fruit processing industries, it is imperative to find methods for its effective usages so that these fruit wastes can be converted into consumable value added products. Fruit wastes utilization could contribute somehow to the on-going energy crisis in the world. It helps in optimum utilization of the available resources and generates a lot of benefits to the industry as well as society such as extra-revenue to the former and employment opportunities to the latter. Moreover, the price of fruits are sky-rocketing in the market recently, therefore the need to have information for its wastes utilization could bring some smile to industrialists. We also cannot undermine the essential nutrients that are present in various fruit wastes such as dietary fibre, pectin, vitamins, phenolic compounds, to name a few. These nutrients could be extracted economically and serve as a valuable food ingredients, thus serving as an alternative source to its synthetic counterparts which causes health toxicity. |
