Abstract

This Dissertation / Report is the outcome of investigation carried out by the creator(s) / author(s) at the department/division of Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysore mentioned below in this page.

Item Type: Student Project Report
Additional Information: The project aims at calculating the energy requirement for grinding a particular quantity of Blackgram at different hardness levels. Then by plotting a graph between the obtained values of energy and hardness a relation is to be developed. Finally we will be able to predict roughly the energy required for grinding the given amount of Blackgram at a given hardness level and also the fineness yield of it with respect to certain predefined meshes. The project also aims at developing a windows application which when given the hardness of grain and the amount of grain used for grinding, gives the energy required for grinding it to coarse and fine material and displays the particle size distribution. The application has been developed using C# in Microsoft Visual Studio 2010.
