Abstract

Carbendazim and benomyl on reaction with copper (II0 salts are found to give novel high-melting copper complexes. UV-Vis and 1H NMR spectra of the complexes were recorded. Their fungicidal toxicity was evaluated against two storage fungi Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus niger and one plant pathogenic fungus Alternaria alternata. These complexes inhibited the fungi tested to the same extent as the parent compounds.
