Abstract

The present work was carried out to: (a) To study the propensity of monocrotophos, an OPI to modulate endocrine balance in rats and associated changes in glucose homeostasis and lipid profile (b) To study MCP-induced pancreatic β-cell adaptation to IR (c) To assess the biochemical impairments in liver/ white adipose tissue in rats exposed to monocrotophos in order to understand their role in carbohydrate and lipid metabolism.
