Abstract

Wheat germ is a byproduct of wheat milling industries, it is rich in oil having unsaturated fatty acids. It is highly succeptible for oxidation and unpleasant odor after some duration, contained lot of fat soluble nutraceuticals incudes tocopherol, carotenoids, sterols and other. Preparing of such nutraceuticals concentrate may be having health beneficial properties. The present work was on prepared wheat germ oil concentrate has been checked for its biological activity in high fat induced animal model in particularly on liver.
