Abstract

This Dissertation / Report is the outcome of investigation carried out by the creator(s) / author(s) at the department/division of Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysore mentioned below in this page.

Item Type: Student Project Report
Additional Information: Potent alpha glucosidase inhibitors could be obtained from fermented broth cultures of A14 and further studies on its structure elucidation, media optimization studies and strain improvement studies would help in producing the inhibitor molecule at cheap availability in the commercial market. The inhibitor produced by this culture showed a potent inhibition of α-glucosidase, will be of great use as an anti diabetic agent provided the economic feasibility is established in the production by fermentation.
Uncontrolled Keywords: Enzyme Inhibitors fungi microorganisms inhibitors
