Abstract
A uniform suction system with modified flow meters to measure the respiration rate of 16 samples of fruits or vegetables and 1 control blank at the same time has been devised. It has a simple air inlet through towers containing concn. KOH and flakes of NaOH, and palm-type 17-way inlet and outlet manifold units at each end of the continuous gas stream assembly. The apparatus is efficient, simple and relatively inexpensive.
