Abstract

A simple and rapid microcolorimetric method, based on reduction of yellow coloured peroxodisulphato titanic acid to colourless titanium oxysulphate, has been developed for determination of SO2 in dried fruit, fruit syrups, beverages, and liquid concentrates. The reduction in intensity of the yellow colour is directly proportional to the concn. of SO2 in the range 0-30 mug/ml.
