Additional Information: | This work focuses on the purification of Bromelain enzyme using Reverse micellar system coupled with Adsorption. Reverse micellar system of CTAB/Iso‐octane/Hexanol/Butanol are used for the extraction and primary purification of Bromelain from crude aqueous extract of pineapple waste (core). The final aqueous solution with maximum purity fold (5.2) from the reverse micellar system is subjected to Adsorption using strongly acidic cation exchange resin at pH of 4.0.The optimized conditions for the adsorption using Amberlite IRA 120 sodium form ion exchange resin yield a maximum purity fold (10.0) of Bromelain. |
