Abstract
Silymarin and quercetin (SQ) are known antioxidants having free radical scavenging activity. These compounds have a synergetic effect on nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and alcoholic liver disease (AFLD), which are major liver problems. However the efficacy of SQ activity is restricted due to poor absorption and accessibility. This study aimed to increase the hepatoprotective activity of SQ by a new technique of forming miniaturized scaffold of compounds.
