Abstract
A method has been developed, based on lhe
periodale .nidation of the manganese in the
cootdination product of zinc ion and manganese
ethylene bisdithioearbamale to permanganic
to determine DithaneM-45. The relation_ship between the intensity of color and the con·
centration of manganese obeys Beer's law up
to 100 ug at 540 nm. The method can be easily
applied to the determination of the active ingredient
in formulations and also for residue
analysis. The method is sensitive to 0.6 ug and
can be used to determine 6 ug fungicide at the
20 g sample level.
