Abstract

A few commercially important processed food products have been canned in tin free sleel cans and tinplate cans (control). Storage studies with periodical cutout analysis have been completed/or about 12 months of ambient temperature (25.28°C) and at 37 degree centigrade. Quality of fish and milk powder was acceptable upto 12 months at ambient and at 37 degree centigrade. Potato was acceptable upto 9 months, cabbage and ivy gourd upto 6 months at ambient lemperalure (25-28 degree Centigrade). Mango juice canned in cans with tinplate body and TFS ends was acceptable upto 12 months both at ambient temperarure and at 37°C.
