Additional Information: |
To devise efficient methods to overcome rice bran instability due to lipase activity, identification and characterization of rice bran lipase is essential. Lipase from rice bran was purified to apparent homogeneity. The lipolytic ctivity was assayed using p-nitrophenylacetate. Lipase was purified using a combination of affinity and gel filtration chromatography. The molecular weight was determined by HPLC and SDS page and found to e ~32kDa. The partial N terminal amino acid sequence and amino acid composition was determined.
|
