Additional Information: | ATPS have been extensively used for the recovery and purification of many biomolecules. To study the partitioning behavior of the protein, effect of PEG molecular weight, phase composition and protein concentration was evaluated. PEG / Ammonium sulphate system, with three different molecular weights of PEG (4000, 6000, and 8000) at three different phase composition was studied. Physical properties of the phase system (Density, Viscosity, Interfacial tension) were measured. Purification of ADH from Beaker yeast was carried out using PEG/MDX polymer/ polymer system. Effect of TLL and Volume ratio was studied. At 46.58% TLL with Volume ratio 0.33, 6 fold purification was observed. |
