Abstract

The PER of' petroleum yeast proteins increased to a highly Idgnlficant extent mm 0.98 to 2.14 as a r(l$ult of supp1ellentation with methionine the first l1m.lting amino acid. This value has, however, lese than that (3.00) obtained for milk proteins, :lnd1cating thereby that some other amino acids IIq also be limiting in the proteins of petroleum yeast.
