Abstract

The cassava fibrous waste residue, after enrichment with urea,
gave s i m i l a r y i e l d s of fungal pectinases when used as a substitute
to wheat bran in solid state fermentation. Comparatively, i t is much
less expensive and can be used in existing solid state fermentation
plants without any modification.
